How to Select the Right Pore of Pleated Cartridge Filters in Different Application？

In order to achieve a good filtration effect, the key is to choose the appropriate aperture of the filter cartridges. Master Filtration offers an general guide for you to choose the right pore of pleated filter cartridges in different applications.

1. If you use pleated filter cartridge for removal of bacteria, the 0.2um~0.45 aperture of the filter cartridge like PP, Nylon,PES, PTFE is suitable.
2. If you use it for medicinal injections, antibiotics, blood products, etc, it needs PES pleated filter cartridges.
3. If you want to remove particles in the liquid, microorganisms and particles larger than bacteria, impurities, such as white wine, rice wine, wine. 1~5um pleated filter cartridges like PP pleated filter cartridges can be selected. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) pleated filter cartridge can be used to filter high temperature gas & liquid and fermentation disinfection gas, but for general gas filtration, 0.2um PP pleated filter cartridges can be used . Its cost is lower.
