Completion Fluid Filtration
Completion fluids are used in the drilling area before drilling, and well servicing fluids are used to repair the well during production. All of these fluids need to be clean to avoid blocking the reservoir. Both completion and well servicing fluids are used to clean the well, remove cuttings, mud cake, cement, and control the sand carried during oil delivery. The purpose of the filter system is to trap impurities in the fluid and allow the clean liquid to return to the well.
A problem that causes a reservoir failure. All fluids that come into contact with the reservoir need to be filtered and cleaned, including drilling fluids, completion fluids, workover fluids, and reaming fluids. The fine impurities entry into the producing zone will reduce well hole permeability , thus reduce the well petroleum productivity.
Completion fluid and workover fluid must be filtered to avoid damage to the producing reservoir. The ideal completion fluid is free of any solid impurities. In fact, it is most economical to removal of 5 microns particles or smaller ones. Stable and reliable well fluid filtration ensures high oil yield and extended well life time.In order to extend the life time of the high efficiency filter cartridge, it is necessary to install a pre-filter before the precision filter to remove large impurities, such as sedimentation tanks, stone removal shakers, centrifugal separators (cyclone separators) and other coarse separation equipment.
